Wat kan ik verwachten?
The song. The dance. The rain. Some moments never go out of style.
Step into the golden age of Hollywood as Singin' in the Rain brings all the romance, comedy and sheer feel-good joy of the legendary 1952 MGM movie to the London stage.
It's Hollywood in the roaring twenties, and silent movie stars Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are at the top of their game. But when talking pictures arrive, everything changes. Don has the looks, the charm – and the voice. Lina has a voice too. Unfortunately, it's not quite the one audiences are expecting.
Enter aspiring actress Kathy Selden, and suddenly Don's professional problems become tangled up with romance, rivalry and a plan that might just save the show.
Inspired by the MGM classic forever associated with Gene Kelly, Singin' in the Rain is packed with timeless songs including Good Morning, Make 'em Laugh, Moses Supposes, You Are My Lucky Star and, of course, the unforgettable title song; Singin' in the Rain.
And yes – it really does rain.
More than 14,000 litres of water bring the legendary rain sequence spectacularly to life on stage, alongside dazzling choreography, Hollywood glamour and all the energy of one of the most joyful movie musicals ever created.
Playing for a strictly limited summer season at Sadler's Wells Theatre in London, Singin' in the Rain is your chance to experience a piece of Hollywood history live on stage.
Come for the songs you know, the movie you love and that iconic dance in the rain – and leave with a smile on your face.
